Update

So I spoke too soon...thinking the nausea would only last in the mornings. The nausea has taken over my life this week. 24/7. Food hasn't even seemed to help, not to mention the fact that ABSOLUTELY NOTHING sounds good! I try to keep things together and ENDURE, but it is what it is.

I am grateful for Paul and new friends in the office who have been such a help and answer to prayers. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Speaking of prayers, I have to tell this story. Last night, I broke down in tears to Paul right before going to bed...just tired of feeling so sick! I was laying down, focusing on NOT throwing up all the food I had recently eaten when Paul decided it was time to say prayers. PERFECT I thought! In his prayer he was nice and thoughtful enough to ask our Father in Heaven to bless me with patience to endure this time in my pregnancy. Sweet, right? NO! I rebuked him afterward saying I didn't want to be blessed to endure it...I want it to go away! Please pray for that! I think it is totally okay to pray for healing! Right? Hopefully I have the faith to be blessed with such!

After awhile, I did however see my blessings already... thank goodness I am not as sick as my mom...so far I have been able to keep the food down... I have had so many people offer to help...and Brooklynn is an absolute gem and makes this process as easy as it possibly could be! I love her!

Continuously reminding myself that this is ALL worth it and in the end I will have the greatest joy and blessing.

From here on out I am taking our family one kid at a time...I have NO IDEA how many children we will actually have.

Sooner than I thought

So the nausea has already come! The good news is its only bad in the mornings. By noon, I have been feeling better, but HAVE TO have food in my belly at ALL times or I start feeling ill again. The sickness is different so far from what it was with Brookylnn, so hopefully this morning sickness business only lasts for a few weeks! That would make me one happy camper, Paul and Brooklynn too I'm sure! Brooklynn is being a trooper and Paul has really stepped it up in the mornings so that I can stay in bed longer, so not to irritate the nausea by moving.

It is funny how you forget what it felt like to be pregnant. I totally forgot the feeling of nausea until it came back this week! Ugh. I don't remember the uncomfortableness towards the end of pregnancy either...I'm sure I will be reminded however in the months to come.

HOWEVER...

I do remember how amazing it was when we first welcomed Brooklynn into this world. I do remember the closeness I felt with Paul and the love we felt as we held our daughter for the first time! I do remember the excitement that accompanied bringing her home and having our first night together as a family of 3. It makes every sick morning, and uncomfortable night worthwhile!

No doubt though, I hope the next 9 months go by as quickly as possible.
I hope this summer flies by as well. I'm already missing Paul like crazy and we are only in the 3rd week of the summer. Is it too soon to start a count down to the end of summer?

Mother's Day...

was so relazing!
My dear sweet Paul William was so tender, sweet, compassionate,
thoughtful and loving!
Yesterday I woke up feeling pretty nauseous- blah!
So Paul brought me some strawberries in bed
to satisfy until he finished making breakfast...
french toast...per my request!
They were delicious!

Then all day he let me rest
and he took care of Brooklynn!

For dinner he BBQ fillet mignon's
and corn on the cob.
My brother, Ryan, came too and brought some
mashed potatoes!
It was delicious!
Our friends, Joslyn and Paul, invited us over
for some cake,
which was a great end to a perfect day.

Paul got me the sweetest card and
a full-body massage as a gift!

I am so excited for that one!

To add to the perfect day...
we were able to talk with my brother, Skyler,
who is serving a mission in England right now!
He sounded so wonderful
and we got to share our exciting news
that he is going to be an uncle again!

I love being a mom.
I truly feel like this is what I was born to do.
I feel so blessed and I am so
grateful for all my Father in Heaven
has planned for me and has
planned for me in this life!
We are looking forward to His blessing
of another little one in our home!

Being a mom has also brought me more gratitude for my own mom.
She is such an example and source of strength
for me! Thanks for all you do!
Paul's mom's as well...
we Love you all!

Happy Mother's Day!

Fun with Quinn and Jenna

This last week I really tried to get out with Miss B
as much as possible because I wasn't sure
how many days or weeks I had left of
feeling good and energetic.
So I was taking advantage of the time.

We went swimming with Quinn and Jenna.
Jenna is one of my dearest friends and
I just love her to pieces.
We had some great conversation
and enjoyed the sun,
as long as Mr. Quinn allowed!
As you can see it wiped him out.
Too cute!

Once B got used to the temperature of the water
she loved it!

Love, love, love my little girl! She truly is the best!
I know every mom thinks this of their own,
but B really is amazing!
I feel so blessed to be her mom!

A little surreal

With everything that happened last month
and how crazy busy both Paul and I were,
we somehow managed to
get Pregnant!

Yes, it is true...
We are expecting baby #2 in early January.
And we are thrilled.
It was very much planned.
Brooklynn and this baby will be just about 2 years apart
(as B's birthday is the end of January),
and Paul and I both think that is a perfect age gap for us!

So far feeling really good,
just a little extra tired.
And I have high hopes that this time
I will be healthier and stronger!

What's new with Little Miss B

At this point in Brooklynn's life
changes and growth are evident EVERY DAY!
She is constantly amazing me
and we feel so blessed.
The joy she brings is indescribable!
She is such a well-behaved, happy, content little girl
and we love her too pieces.
We simply cannot get enough!

Brooklynn's recent activities:

* The other morning after she gave her daddy loves and snuggles and kisses and waves bye bye, he left. She looked at me and then ran to the front door, started knocking on it, crying, and saying "my daddy, my daddy!" It was adorable.
* Now every morning she gives daddy the same routine (without the tears) and says "bye- bye"
* She signs "more", and "thank you".
* She is just sprouting her 10th tooth.
* She has been sleeping 13 hours at night...sometimes sleeping in until 10 and 10:30. I'm not going to lie, those are awesome mornings for Paul and I to spend together.
* She never cries when being put down for naps or bed. In fact recently when she is tired, she just brings me her blanket and binki...so cute!
* When I start singing.. "clean-up, clean-up, everybody clean-up", she puts all of her toys back into her bin!
* She has become obsessed with drawing/coloring.
* She will give loves and snuggles and kisses.
* Her hair is at her shoulders now! Getting so long.
* She now says "Gone" when she is done eating or her food is all gone.
* She still loves to dance to everything.
* She is loving all the babies she sees and will say "Baby...baby".
* She folds her arms and closes her eyes (well actually it is more like squinting) all by herself for prayers.
* She practically runs everywhere she goes.
* She knows where her belly, nose, ears, hair, feet, hands and eyes are and will point to them (she lifts up her feet when you ask where they are).
* She can remember people, their names and point to them when you ask where they are!

Houston Zoo

Yesterday we were able to get out and go to the Houston Zoo
Jenna & Quinn, and Joslyn & Emma came with us!
It was a very hot and humid day so we only lasted
a few hours but it was still a fun day.
None of us were crazy impressed with the place
but we think that the girls really liked it
and we KNOW Quinn enjoyed himself
cause he slept the entire time!

B's first ride on a carousel.
She wasn't really sure what to think of it.
She held onto me for dear life
and never cracked a smile!

B watching the Sea Lion show...
she did enjoy watching and pointing at them.

Daddy was really sad he could not come with us.
We missed him.

New Friends

Brooklynn has made some new friends here in TX!
(me too...these girls' moms).
Emma and Tatum.
She loves them both and it is cute to see her with other
kids her age.

Brooklynn and Tatum at the office dinner

This was right before our office dinner
last weekend.
I curled Brooklynn's hair for the first time-
flipped out!
She looked too cute for words!

Fun in the Sun

Brooklynn and I finally made it to the pool
the other day.
The water was a little chilly at first
but after she got used to it she enjoyed it.
I think I got a little color too...
which was greatly needed.

She looks so big in this picture! Paul about died when he saw it!

This part of the pool is only 8" deep and so
Brooklynn loved to walk around.
She fell one time and her face went in the water
(of course I was right there and helped her)
but it scared her for a minute.
We need to start teaching her to blow bubbles in the bath
so she gets used to water on her face!
