Family Pictures... FINALLY

On Monday we were able to FINALLY get some family pictures done!
I had won a Facebook contest with April Bladh Photography,
and we are thrilled with the results.
We really enjoyed ourselves and I was so happy that the girls behaved!

Beautiful BUT Rare

Look at my handsome hubby with his two beautiful girls!
Paul holding either of these girls for any length of time = rare.
Paul holding both of them at the same time = EXTREMELY RARE.
The second either makes a peep, he hands them off to me or instantly calls my name.
(Both our family's can vouch for this too).
So this was a beautiful moment for me and I had to catch it ON CAMERA!
Nevertheless, he sure does love them!

Best Friends

A tender moment tonight that I want to remember...

I was busy cooking dinner (as usual),
Maylee was hanging out in her swing (as usual),
daddy was at work (as usual),
and Brooklynn was just walking around and playing (as usual).
Then I noticed that she started talking to Maylee and sharing her Care Bears.
I said to Brooklynn:
"You love your sister, Maylee Kate, don't you Brooklynn?"
Brooklynn tilted her head to the side, and in her sweet little voice responded,
"Yes Mom, she's my best friend".

Makes a Momma's heart melt!
I hope they always remain best friends!

It's Spring time around here.... FINALLY!


Another interesting fact about Brooklynn is that right now she is
COMPLETELY OBSESSED with shutting EVERY door.
She still doesn't know how to open doors though, so she is constantly asking me to help her open the doors she has closed...just to close them again!

My Sweet Maylee

I'm just seriously in love with this baby girl of ours.

She has found her voice recently and "coos" all the time!
We love it!
It is pretty easy to get her to smile, but when she laughs it lights up a room!
And she is starting to get some rolls on her... I love it.
Yes, I know my babies are skinny, so when they get a few rolls I start to call them chunky!
I just want to pinch and squeeze her all the time.

Easter & Conference Weekend

We made the two hour trek up to Logan this weekend to spend the Holiday with the Giddings! We wanted to spend as much time with everyone so we stayed the night. In a nutshell we ate, slept, visited, watched conference, ate some more, hunted for eggs, and tried to keep the sugar-high kids under control! It was an enjoyable weekend and we are so grateful we were able to spend it with ones we love!

Yes, I am fully aware that the bow is as big as her head...it's on purpose and I love it!

Yes, we hunted for eggs in the snow! Of course we didn't HAVE TO hide the eggs IN the snow, but the men were the hiders...of course they didn't think logistics of the wet and muddy shoes that would follow!
