Nor Cal Trip

A few weeks ago we were able to head up to northern california for a quick weekend to visit my extended Ridley family.
Back in February we had to put my Grammy in a home with her dementia, close by my Aunt Robynn so I wanted to go visit her and see her new home and introduce her and other family members to Lyla Belle.
We got to stay with my Aunt Robynn and play with my cousin Ridley.
I always LOVE visitng with my Ridley family and this was a PERFECT weekend, especially because Paul was able to join us.

 Playing at the park

A perfect evening on the patio with my Grandpa and Susan.
Absolutely LOVE them.

 Swimming at the club
The kids had so much fun on Ridley's power wheels. Look out when they all turn 16!
Susan's first time meeting Lyla and she couldn't get enough!

This is our youngest cousin, Ridley and we just ADORE him!

Me and my love.
Seriously LOVE him!

Orange County Fair

A few weeks back Ryan and Brooke invited us along to the Orange County Fair.
I had never been so I thought it would be a fun day.
We missed daddy and he was sad to miss out.
We enjoyed a few rides, the petting zoo, a little shopping, some music, and of course some food and treats. The girls and I had a nice day.
They're still a little too young, and short to do very much so I think we may wait a few years to go again but happy to have spent the say with Ryan and Brooke.
We also grabbed some Cafe Rio afterwards and that was delicious!

You had to be 42" to ride most rides. Brooklynn was 41" and I bought too many tickets not realizing we wouldn't be able to ride much so I bought her a pair of shoes with a 1' heel so we could go on this log ride.
She loves Splash Mountain at Disneyland but was terrified of this one.
Silly girl.

Paul's 30th Birthday

Paul's BIG 30th came and went.
Cassie and I had all sorts of plans for the boys' big 3-0 but settled on taking them for the day and doing an F-16 flight simulator in Anaheim which they LOVED.
We then met up with their mother for lunch at cheesecake factory then when shopping for a new suit for Paul and finished it up with a BBQ dinner with the Morris' and Ridleys and yummy cake baked by Brooke.

I think they had a great day.

A few weekends prior, Ryan and Brooke gave Paul a ticket for the Angel game/goo-goo dolls concert and he LOVED that too. It was a perfect night!

Ready for our surprise day... oh wait, Paul and Josh were sneaking and read Cassie and I's text messages to figure out our plans for their birthday and ruined the surprise!
Oh well... Paul was so excited he could hardly sleep the night before because he was looking up the flight simulator place and how to fly an F-16.
Silly boys.
Driving to pick up his twin.
They gave the boys cool Aviator glasses since it was their birthday.
