BYU Blue and White Game

This weekend was a special one for my little brother, Skyler... He was able to play in the BYU Blue and White football game. He even caught a pass and had his name announced throughout Lavell Edwards stadium. He had little kids asking for his autograph and high school girls asking to take pictures with him! Guess he is pretty HOT!! I'm sure the uniform has a little something to do with that! Dad, an ever glowing proud parent, was able to attend the festivities and Brooklynn was a devout fan all dressed up in her BYU attire. It was a beautiful day thank heavens...and the following slideshow captures the day...Enjoy!!

For Daddy...We Miss You!

I know you all enjoy pictures of Brooklynn, but this post is for the daddy because once again he had to go out of town on business and was so sad to leave us behind, especially Brooklynn. I have been sharing with him via phone calls all the fun she and I are having playing and talking and how cute she is and he asked me to post a picture of her on here so he could see. I couldn't decide on just one so you get to see them all! Her outfit is all scrunched together because, as I am sure Brittney can attest, I have about 2 minutes to take a picture of her with the bib off before the spit-up comes and ruins the outfit. Immediately after capturing the picture, the ugly bib has to go back on!

Mmm...Couldn't you just eat her???

Conference Weekend

We've just had a truly enjoyable conference weekend. Paul returned home from a business trip in Reno to two very happy girls (Me and Brooklynn of course)! We were able to spend a lot of time together at home playing with Brooklynn and going a little camera happy. We were also able to visit some friends and family! Paul's mission buddy, Barrett, and his wife, Lauren, just welcomed their first baby on April 2nd so we went up to see Brooklynn's first friend, Reese, and congratulate the new parents. While we were up that way, we stopped by Paul's sisters house to say hi, which also enabled Brooklynn to meet her only cousins, so far, for the first time. And her cousins, Taylor and Kye, were beyond excited to see her. Unfortunately Brooklynn was a little tired and fussy for the short time we were there but no worries cause little Taylor sang Twinkle Twinkle to cheer her up- it was the cutest thing ever.

We enjoyed this historic conference and the opportunity to stand and sustain our new Prophet and President of the Church, Thomas S. Monson. I came away uplifted, inspired, and motivated to become a better person, a better wife, a better mother, a better missionary, and a better friend.

So happy in the bathtub!

Daddy/Daughter moments... Paul with Brooklynn (2 months old) and Barrett with Reese (4 days old).
Aunt Krista and cousins, Taylor and Kye

She loves her new swing! It took a few days but now she really enjoys it...to the point she has fallen asleep in it several times.
Brooklynn actually had her arms folded during the closing prayer of conference- so precious!
Playing and smiling with mommy and daddy during conference. (We have several shots like this one cause we have become extremely camera happy)
Worn out after so much play time! I love these sleeping-bag style pj's.
Smiles, smiles, and more smiles...

All Smiles!

I have finally been able to capture Brooklynn smiling! She is just an absolute doll and just within the past several days has her personality really started to shine. She interacts with me more now and responds to my voice. She of course is beyond spoiled...and loves to be held! It's so strange being the one that people hand the baby to when she becomes a little fussy. But that's the best part of being a mom...having her most attached to me. She knows when she is in mommies arms...She knows my voice, my smell, and my face. I feel like this is my calling here on earth...to be a mom! I hope I can make Heavenly Father proud as Paul and I raise His precious sons and daughters he has and will trust into our care... this is what life is all about and I am treasuring every moment!
