30 Weeks

It is interesting how sometimes this pregnancy seems to be flying by and other times it seems to be dragging on...either way we are anxious to meet our new little girl BEFORE the end of the year! The plan is to have her NO LATER than the 29th of December! Christmas shall be an exciting time for more than one reason! All is looking good for both mom and baby! For now she will just keep cookin'.

The ever growing baby bump...

The growing family.

Brooklynn- 21 months

It's hard to believe that in just a few short months we will celebrating Brooklynn's 2nd birthday! She is becoming quite the little chatter box...saying so many words...understanding what is being said to her...and remembering names and places! It is so fun to watch her learn and grow.

Recently she has become a little scared of flies...Paul and I laugh so hard about it but it is cute! Not sure how much she weighs and all that Jazz because she hasn't been to the Dr since we've been back yet, but I assume she is in the 50%tile as usual. She still fits into 12 and 18 month clothes and the 24 months are still a little big. She is getting the last of her teeth..finally closing those gaps! She is wearing size 5-6 shoes. Her hair is getting longer each day it seems like, although it is still pretty thin (which surprises me because both Paul and I have a thick head of hair).

She remains the joy of our life and keeps us on our toes! Can't imagine life without her...you all know how that is!

Cruise to the Bahamas

Well Tuesday night we headed out for our drive to California to drop little miss B off with the fam while Paul and I went on the Northstar cruise to the Bahamas! The drive was nothing compared to our recent 30 hour trek from Texas. Brooklynn was excited to see everyone and Paul was too since it had been over 6 months since Paul had seen my family. Then Wednesday night we left on a red eye flight out of LAX for Florida. It was another long, uncomfortable night but we made it safe and sound to the cruise ship early Thursday morning. We spent pretty much the entire first day on the cruise catching up on our much needed sleep!

Our first stop was in Freeport where we were able to rent some scooters and a car to drive to the beach and spend some time in the beautiful water. We walked around some shops and had some lunch as well. But Saturday was the stop we had been waiting for...Nassau...or in other words the Atlantis Resort! We were able to get a great deal on a day pass at the resort and spent the entire time at the beach, the water park, the lagoon, the aquariums! It was a great time and something I had always wanted to do! Ever since I saw Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen's movie Holiday in the Sun, I have wanted to go to the Atlantis! It was an amazing place! Of course if I wasn't pregnant I probably would have had that much more fun but it was still great. Paul and I plan to return again one day with our kids and next time swim with the dolphins as well! Sunday on the cruise ship we relaxed and slept a lot again...watching movies in our cabin and enjoying each others company! It was a lot of much need R&R. We were happy though to return home last night to our beautiful baby Brooklynn! We had missed her so much! I know she was in great hands and she enjoyed every moment with the fam! Thank you so much to all of them for helping us out with her so that Paul and I could enjoy our vacation together!

I unfortunately forgot our battery charger for our camera so our pictures are slim, so sad...but at least we have the memories!

Joshie with his goofy yellow helmet for the scooters.

Oh Brandon matched!

Paul had to drive on the left side of the road with the driver seat on the right side of the car...totally trippy but we were safe!

The beautiful water!

Home Sweet Home

After a 30 hour straight drive from Houston to Highland, we have finally been able to move into our house! The drive was soooooooooo long! We did most of it while Brooklynn was sleeping, but being 7 months pregnant, it was still an uncomfortable, long drive! We arrived at 3 am last Sunday morning and we were completely exhausted! Thanks to my best friend Stephanie and her husband Mike, we arrived to a spotlessly clean house, food for breakfast and enchiladas in the fridge for dinner the next day! How thoughtful! I know, I have the best bff ever! We pretty much used Sunday to recover from the drive and Brooklynn had a ball getting into all her toys we had left behind! It was like Christmas for her. Slowly over the week we unpacked, organized, painted our master bedroom, had a garage sale, went to the Northstar banquet, recovered from food poisoning, spent a day at the hospital for the birth of James Michael Lamoureux, and then repacked for our trip to Cali and our cruise to the Bahamas. We even squeezed in some time with friends and meeting new neighbors and grocery shopping! It was a pretty hectic week to say the least but sooooooo nice! I cannot even begin to explain how nice it is to have Paul home with us again. One day we were able to walk to the park as a family and enjoy the nice weather...I was in heaven! We still have much to do, but I know we have some time!

Probably a highlight of that week was my food poisoning after Paul's company banquet when I lost it on the way home ALL OVER Paul's precious truck! It was bad! After a 4 course meal I had a lot to come up and it was uncontrollable. I managed to at least ask Paul to pull over, but I didn't quite get the door open in time! Paul and friends steam cleaned the truck 3 times, used every other method imaginable and we still needed to leave the windows down when we left. Hopefully we will return to a better smell. It was an unpleasant night to say the least but thanks to Steph, Shea, Mike, and Cameron for all their help!

The Northstar banquet was very nice. We enjoyed seeing everyone again and Paul finally got his 55" LED TV he has been wanting! He was a happy kid.
Overall so happy to be home and to see close friends again. Due to illnesses we have been unable to make it up to Logan to see the Giddings', but we are anxious and excited for that day to come here shortly! We miss and love them tons!

Stephanie and I...yes this is days before she had her baby and I look as big as her...10 weeks behind!

This was our first chance to take pictures together of our prego bellies!

First time meeting baby Linkin...what a happy and handsome kid! We look forward to many more pictures of these kids together!
